Meet Charli

In what I call a past life, I decided to make a list of careers I may want to try. Although I was going through many big life transitions at the time, I decided to find a career that would fit into my life purpose and values. It was going to be hard, but it would require graduate school and some personal growth. I made a decision and I set out on my journey.

To be perfectly honest, there were plenty of times I considered quitting it all. I developed the values assessment, the community, and the solutions that could get me to my goal of being a helper.

I have an undergraduate degree from The State University of New York at Plattsburgh and a graduate degree from Avila University. I make a point to stay in therapist communities and stay educated so that I do not outdate myself. I work with a trauma-informed, person-centered goal in mind. Many of the skills I practice stem from Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, and the Psychoanalytic Approach.

I have a passion for food, music, movies, dogs, politics, human rights, justice, the color blue, and Diet Coke. I believe that the world is scary, but we find our path with the help of a community. I also believe the world would be a kinder place if we all had to wait tables and go to therapy, even if it's impossible to empirically prove.
